ABOUT US
Barnet Construction Supply Chain is an ongoing support programme for Barnet based SMEs in construction and property maintenance, commissioned by Barnet Council and delivered by MTW Consultants since 2023.
It aims to make sure that local businesses benefit from the huge amount of investment happening in the borough and ensure that more of it stays in the local economy to drive business growth and jobs.
Main Aims
The main aims of the programme are :
– To help local businesses in Barnet in construction-related trades to access and win opportunities generated by the major property investments taking place in the borough.
– To help developers and their main contractors, Barnet Homes and Barnet Council identify and engage suitable local subcontractors and suppliers, strengthening the local supply chain and keeping more investment within the borough

Help provided to local companies includes:
• Finding opportunities to tender and getting on to buyer supply chains
• Upskilling to access & win commercial work through workshops and one to one consultancy
• Access to public sector opportunities and tendering support
• Meet the Buyer Events – one-to-one meetings with buyers
• Networking events
Help provided to buyers includes:
• Finding good local subcontractors & materials suppliers
• Helping buyers to fulfil s106 and Social Value commitments
• Reducing environmental impact
• Refreshing supply chains
• Meet the Buyer events
