CHAS (Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme) accreditation is the minimum standard for many commercial contracts in the construction and public sectors, and yet many companies don't have it or see its value.
This basic accreditation can get you in the door and on to the supply chain lists of many developers and main contractors, opening up opportunities with:
- Main contractors
- Councils
- Schools
- Large commercial end users
CHAS accreditation will help ensure you are compliant with important legislation and demonstrate your compliance to clients to pre-qualify for more work opportunities. And by including the CHAS certificate in your tenders, you can save time when filling in a lengthy pre-qualification questionnaires - which can often seem endless!
By obtaining CHAS you are then automatically eligible for another useful badge of recognition: SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement).
