Time: 9.15am – 12.30pm
Is your business ready for the fastest growing market within the construction sector - retrofitting properties and buildings to meet net-zero targets?
In 2022 Barnet Council declared a Climate and Biodiversity Emergency
• for the Council to be a net zero organisation by 2030 and
• for the borough to be carbon neutral by 2042.
It held a Citizens Assembly on climate change in 2023 to discuss what could be done to make the borough more sustainable. It has embarked on an ambitious programme to retrofit all Council owned buildings including housing and corporate estates, schools and leisure centres.
Private landlords too are having to upgrade the energy efficiency of their buildings to meet the minimum energy performance levels required for letting them out to tenants. This is creating new supply opportunities across the UK as well as on your doorstep.
